I’ve answered some commonly asked questions below. If you can’t find the information you are looking for please contact me.
Q: Why do I need therapy?
A: If you are struggling to come to terms with some difficulty or something has happened in your life that you do not understand, then talking to a professional in confidence may help you to understand and acknowledge the feelings you are experiencing so that you are eventually able to move forward in your life. You might be finding the pressures of home or work life too difficult to deal with without some impartial and empathic help.
Q: What can I expect during therapy?
A: You can talk about your life and feelings, freely and openly. We meet in a safe, confidential environment and together explore those feelings and challenges, without judgment. We will also explore past experiences as these may be linked to any current concerns.
Q: What is Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling?
A: It's a supportive form of therapeutic counselling that can help restore your natural sense of harmony and balance. It's a gentle process and you will be encouraged to access your own resources to help you make the choices required towards greater self-awareness.
Q: Am I assured of absolute confidentiality and privacy?
A: Yes, I abide by the London Institute of Psychosynthesis Codes of Practice & Ethics and the Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners (APP).
Q: How long is a session, how many sessions will I need and how much will it cost?
A: Each session lasts an hour and the number of sessions required depends on the needs of the individual. I offer low-cost fees on a sliding scale and, following an initial consultation, I can provide either short or long-term therapy based on your individual needs.
Q: How do I know if you would be the best therapist for me?
A: I understand that the search for a therapist can be daunting and confusing. By speaking to me and briefly discussing your situation, I will try and answer any questions that you might have.
Q: Do you do online sessions?
A: Yes, online zoom sessions are available.
Q: How can I engage you as a therapist?
